Ricky Mujica is a New York based contemporary artist influenced by old masters like Sargent, Zorn and Sorolla. He’s best known in social media for his much shared award-winning painting of his wife and child called ‘multi-tasking’. Before returning to his roots as a fine artist, Ricky Mujica has created book jacket art for top publishing companies and illustrations for major magazines.

His work has been seen in commercials for Cherry 7-Up, on murals for Sony and Leows theaters, and on clothes for fashion designer Rachel Roy. His artwork has been represented at the Museum of American Illustration on several occasions.Born and raised in New York City, Mujica has lived in Africa, Norway, Germany, Mexico, France, Spain, Japan, England, Italy, and Australia. He studied at the Parsons School of Design and Parsons in Paris. Along with Ricky Mujica’s traditional work in oil and watercolor, Ricky Mujica is also an accomplished digital 2d and 3d artist. Ricky Mujica is also known for other things like, Skateboarding (original member of Zoo York from the 70’s), Boxing (Golden Glove finalist and Metro games quarter finalist), Break Dancing (traveled all over the world as a break dancer in the early 80’s), Actor (toured with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express, Around the World in 80 days, and played Othello in Southern France in the 90’s), Stand-up Comedy (Played every club in New York City in the early 2000’s). Ricky privately sells his landscapes and figurative paintings and prints of his paintings to collectors in the US, and in France, Norway, Germany, and Mexico.
